Dynamic Bicycles Merges with Sussex Enterprises - Makers of the Shaft Drive Transmission System
June 15, 2006 (Holliston, Mass.) - Dynamic Bicycles, Inc. today annouced it has acquired the majority ownership of Sussex Enterprises Company, Ltd., based in Taichung, Taiwan. Sussex is the world's leading manufacturer of shaft drive transmission systems (SDTS) for bicycles. Dynamic has been using the Sussex shaft drive since 2004. Both companies see this as an opportunity to shorten time-to-market for chainless bicycles and accelerate the adoption of shaft drive bicycles worldwide.

Dynamic Bicycles offers a complete line of chainless bicycles featuring a fully enclosed shaft drive and all-internal gearing so there are no exposed, moving parts - meaning no grease to get on hands or clothes and more quiet, smooth riding. Dynamic's chainless system combines Sussex's rugged and proven shaft drive system with Shimano's advanced internal gear hub that incorporates all of the gear components into a compact, highly efficient rear axle.
