Our chainless bicycles combine our patented shaft drive (watch animation), which smoothly transfers power from the pedals to the rear wheel, with Shimano's advanced internal gear hubs, whereby all the gearing is neatly tucked away inside the rear wheel. So you get a wide range of gearing - nearly the same as a fully geared chain bike - in a much more compact design. Dynamic's bikes come in 7-speed and 8-speed models. But don't let the number of speeds mislead you. Compared to chain bicycles, our 8-speed bikes have the range of 21-gears and our 7-speed bikes have the range of 18 gears compared to a 24-speed chain bike. Shimano's intelligent internal gear technology simply spreads out the gears for you, giving you tremendous gear range in fewer steps - eliminating all the overlapping and redundant gears of derailleur systems.
